Our Ethos: Learning Through Real Experiences In Nature
At Forest & Play, our ethos guides everything we do.

Child-Led Learning
We believe children learn best when they follow their own interests.
Rather than directing learning, we give children the time and space to explore, investigate and discover at their own pace. Our practitioners carefully observe each child, using their interests as the starting point for meaningful learning experiences.
They work alongside children, modelling language, behaviours and skills through shared experiences — supporting children to think, question and problem-solve in the moment.
This approach builds confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

Our Risk Benefit Approach
We do not remove risk — we teach children how to understand and manage it safely.
Through supported experiences such as climbing, balancing and exploring the natural environment, children learn to assess situations, make decisions and develop awareness of their own capabilities.
This helps children build resilience, problem-solving skills and confidence.
"The children will leave Forest & Play as confident, curious, and resilient individuals, ready to face any challenge."
